  • Explore current models of safeguarding within a framework of children’s rights

Young Children's Learning and Development Module:

  • Gain knowledge of fundamental concepts in child development (ages 0-8)
  • Explore physical, psychological, emotional and social aspects
  • Examine brain development and the effects of trauma on learning 
  • Consider different learning styles and influencing factors
  • Evaluate theoretical perspectives and analyse competing positions
  • Develop skills to meet and promote children’s development

  • Aged between 19 and 60
  • Live in England or work in England (some conditions may apply)
  • No English or Maths qualifications required
  • Existing degree holders in any subject can apply
